We feel real fortunate to have found an independent living home as we have at the Manor. The residents are so friendly and the staff couldn't be more considerate of each of us. We have two nice rooms, which we have been able to furnish with our own furniture, making it feel more like home. There are a number of activities that we can take part if we choose. The food is good, the cooks always know our likes and dislikes and see that we have what we like. The maintenance crew always quick to do whatever needs to be done. All in all we feel fortunate to be residents of the Manor.

Prairie View Manor
The Manor is attached to Prairie View Home and offers 18 independent living apartments with an attached garage area. There are 4 different size apartments available ranging from 410 sq. ft.-820 sq. ft. and all have either a screened in porch or walk out patio. The apartments are unfurnished except for a small frig/freezer unit which allows Tenants the ability to decorate the room with their own furnishings making it feel more like home. They all have a roomy bathroom area complete with a shower tub with built in bench. A shelf is located outside each apartment for Tenant's to decorate. Tenants are able to come and go as they please and do everything they did at home, but worry about cooking or laundry.
The Manor serves two home-style meals a day with a continental breakfast. Homemade pies and broasted chicken are a common thing here at the Manor. Snacks and coffee are served every afternoon as well, but with the small frig unit in each Tenants apartment they too can have a few snacks on hand.
Weekly laundry is another service included in your rent at the Manor. Upon moving in Tenants are assigned a laundry day during the week. On that day an employee picks it up, washes it and brings it back to you. Light ironing is also available.
Scheduled activities are offered at Prairie View Manor several times a week. Tenants can participate as they wish. Happy hour is held the third Friday of every month and Tenants are encouraged to invite friends and family to stop in for appetizers and beverages. With several social areas throughout the building you may come across a card game or two going on or even someone playing a little pool. A facility computer is also available for tenant's to use, complete with internet hook-up and several downloaded games.
If privacy, security, care-free independence and a home-like atmosphere are something important to you then consider Prairie View Manor for yourself or a loved one, it's definitely retirement living at its best!!
