Since moving into the Manor we have a relaxed feeling of being at home. The staff here are very competent and are always willing to assist or advise you. The food here is better then mom’s cooking, which was out of this world! Activities are available to us if we choose or we can remain in our rooms & pursue our own hobbies. We have a large 3 season patio that opens up to the green area which is especially appreciated when our children and grandchildren come to visit. This is country living at it’s best for the two of us!

Built in 1992 Prairie View Manor is for older individuals who are ready for luxury and no longer want to worry about maintaining a home and lawn and want a sense of security and peace of mind.

The Manor is attached to Prairie View Home and offers 14 independent living apartments with an attached garage area. There are 4 different size apartments available ranging from 410 sq. ft.-820 sq. ft. and all have either a screened in porch, walk out patio or 3-season room. The apartments are unfurnished except for a refrigerator which allows Tenants the ability to decorate the room with their own furnishings making it feel more like home. They all have a roomy bathroom area complete with a shower tub with built in bench. A shelf is located outside each apartment for Tenant’s to decorate. Tenant are able to come and go as they please and do everything they did at home, but worry about cooking or laundry.

The Manor serves two home-style meals a day with a continental breakfast. Homemade pies and broasted chicken are a common thing here at the Manor. Snacks and coffee are served every afternoon as well, but with the refrigerator in each Tenants apartment they too can have a few of their favorite snacks on hand as well.

Weekly laundry is another service included in your rent at the Manor. Upon moving in Tenants are assigned a laundry day during the week. On that day an employee picks it up, washes it and brings it back to you. Light ironing is also available.

Scheduled activities are offered at Prairie View Manor several times a week. Tenants can participate as they wish. Happy hour is held the third Friday of every month and Tenants are encouraged to invite friends and family to stop in for appetizers and beverages. With several social areas throughout the building you may come across a card game or two going on or even someone playing a little pool. A facility computer is also available for tenant’s to use, complete with internet hook-up and several downloaded games.
